Easy Roasted Almonds: Recipe #163

We had two giant bags of raw almonds from a past Costco run that weren’t getting eaten. So I decided to salt and dry roast them, and now they’re getting gobbled up like crazy. With this experiment, I learned how to make super easy roasted almonds! Thanks to Jami for the inspiration.

Ingredients ($8 total)

4 cups raw almonds – $8.00
1 1/2 tbsp hot tap water – free
1 1/2 tsp salt – $0.08

Directions for Easy Roasted Almonds

1. In a small bowl, dissolve the salt in the hot water. In a large bowl, measure out the almonds.

2. Pour the salted water over the almonds and mix well to coat the almonds. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet and spread out to a single layer.

3. Bake at 375F for 8 minutes, then give the almonds a good stir and bake for 10-12 more minutes. When they’re a nice roasty color but haven’t yet started to burn, take them out to cool. They won’t be crunchy when they first come out, but don’t worry – they crunch up amazingly as they cool.

Store your easy roasted almonds in an airtight container in the fridge for everyday snacking. Enjoy the satisfying crunch and the healthiness for your body! ❤️
